2. Description of the Service
PlantWaterCheck allows users to upload plant photos and receive AI-generated feedback about visible watering signals and a practical watering recommendation.
The service includes:
- Image analysis using artificial intelligence.
- A hydration-style plant watering status based on visible leaf, posture, and soil cues when shown.
- Practical recommendations for whether a plant appears dry, balanced, or possibly overwatered.
- A usage-limited access model.
- Optional rewarded advertisements for continued use.
PlantWaterCheck is not a professional botanical, agricultural, pest, disease, toxicity, or safety diagnosis tool.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Upload only images you have the right to use.
- Use the App only for lawful purposes.
- Not upload illegal, harmful, exploitative, intimate, or inappropriate content.
- Not misuse the service or attempt to bypass usage limits or restrictions.
- Use your own judgment before changing plant care routines.
You are responsible for the content you submit and for any actions you take based on the App's output.
4. Content Restrictions
We may refuse to process images that:
- Do not contain a visible plant.
- Do not show enough plant detail to make a meaningful watering check.
- Contain multiple unclear subjects.
- Are too blurred, dark, obstructed, or low resolution to analyze.
- Contain unsupported, inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content.
- Otherwise violate these Terms.
We reserve the right to block or reject content at our discretion to maintain safe and appropriate use of the service.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The feedback provided by the App is generated by artificial intelligence.
- Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or subjective.
- The feedback is for informational and entertainment purposes only.
- It is not professional plant-care, botanical, agricultural, pest-control, disease, toxicity, safety, or environmental advice.
- The App cannot guarantee that a plant needs water, does not need water, is healthy, diseased, safe, edible, non-toxic, or properly identified.
You should not rely on PlantWaterCheck as your only source for important plant-care decisions. For serious plant issues, valuable plants, agricultural crops, toxic plants, pest infestations, disease concerns, or safety questions, consult a qualified expert or trusted plant-care source.
6. No Guarantees
We do not guarantee that:
- The App will identify watering needs correctly.
- The App will improve plant health.
- Any recommendation will be suitable for your plant, pot, soil, climate, season, light conditions, or watering schedule.
- The App will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Plant care depends on many factors that may not be visible in a single photo.
7. Credits, Free Uses, and Rewarded Ads
The App may include free monthly uses, credits, or other usage limits.
After free uses are exhausted, additional checks may be unlocked by watching rewarded advertisements where available.
Credits, free uses, and rewarded-ad availability may change at any time. We may refuse, revoke, or adjust credits where necessary to prevent abuse, fraud, technical errors, or misuse.
8. Your Content
You retain any rights you have in photos you submit.
By submitting content, you grant us the limited rights needed to process the content, generate results, operate the App, provide history and support features, maintain security, and enforce these Terms.
You must not submit content that you do not have permission to use.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process data. By using the App, you acknowledge that data will be processed as described in the Privacy Policy, including processing by third-party providers such as OpenAI and Google Mobile Ads where applicable.
10. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services, including AI processing providers, hosting providers, analytics or monitoring tools, and advertising providers.
Those services may have their own terms, policies, and processing practices. We are not responsible for third-party services except as required by applicable law.
11. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, attack, overload, scrape, or interfere with the App or backend.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, billing rules, ad reward verification, moderation, or security controls.
- Use the App for illegal, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
- Submit content that infringes rights or violates law.
- Use outputs as professional advice or as a substitute for expert judgment.
12. Changes and Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of plants, property, data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the App.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create risk for the service or others, or where required by law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your country of residence.
