2. Description of the Service
KetoScanner allows users to upload food, meal, packaging, ingredient, or nutrition-label photos and receive AI-generated feedback estimating how keto-friendly the item appears.
The service includes:
- Image analysis using artificial intelligence.
- A keto score based on visible food, ingredients, nutrition-label information, packaging, or portion cues.
- A simple explanation of why the scanned item appears more or less keto-friendly.
- A usage-limited access model.
- Optional rewarded advertisements for continued use.
The score is an AI-generated estimate. It is not a verified nutrition calculation, medical recommendation, diet plan, allergy check, food-safety assessment, or professional health advice.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Upload only images you have the right to use.
- Use the App only for lawful purposes.
- Avoid uploading photos that contain personal, sensitive, or unnecessary private information.
- Not upload illegal, harmful, exploitative, intimate, or inappropriate content.
- Not misuse the service or attempt to bypass usage limits or restrictions.
- Use your own judgment before making food, nutrition, health, or lifestyle decisions.
You are responsible for the content you submit and for any actions you take based on the App's output.
4. Content Restrictions
We may refuse to process images that:
- Do not contain visible food, packaging, ingredients, or nutrition-label information.
- Show too little detail to make a meaningful keto estimate.
- Contain unreadable, obstructed, or unclear label text.
- Show multiple unclear items without a clear main subject.
- Are too blurred, dark, obstructed, or low resolution to analyze.
- Contain unsupported, inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content.
- Otherwise violate these Terms.
We reserve the right to block or reject content at our discretion to maintain safe and appropriate use of the service.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The feedback provided by the App is generated by artificial intelligence.
- Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or subjective.
- The feedback is for informational and entertainment purposes only.
- It is not medical, dietetic, allergy, diabetes, pregnancy, eating-disorder, food-safety, purchasing, or professional nutrition advice.
- The App cannot guarantee that a food is keto-friendly, safe, healthy, suitable for your body, suitable for a medical condition, or compatible with a specific diet plan.
KetoScanner does not verify retail nutrition data, hidden ingredients, cross-contamination, allergens, net carbs, serving size accuracy, blood-sugar impact, or product safety.
If you have allergies, diabetes, an eating disorder, pregnancy-related nutrition needs, a medical condition, or any health concern, consult a qualified professional before relying on app output.
6. No Guarantees
We do not guarantee that:
- The App will identify food, ingredients, labels, carbs, or keto suitability correctly.
- The App will help you lose weight, improve health, or meet nutrition goals.
- Any recommendation will be suitable for your diet, medical needs, allergies, preferences, or local product formulation.
- The App will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Food and nutrition decisions depend on many factors that may not be visible in a single photo.
7. Credits, Free Uses, and Rewarded Ads
The App may include free monthly uses, credits, or other usage limits.
After free uses are exhausted, additional scans may be unlocked by watching rewarded advertisements where available.
Credits, free uses, and rewarded-ad availability may change at any time. We may refuse, revoke, or adjust credits where necessary to prevent abuse, fraud, technical errors, or misuse.
8. Your Content
You retain any rights you have in photos you submit.
By submitting content, you grant us the limited rights needed to process the content, generate results, operate the App, provide history and support features, maintain security, and enforce these Terms.
You must not submit content that you do not have permission to use.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process data. By using the App, you acknowledge that data will be processed as described in the Privacy Policy, including processing by third-party providers such as OpenAI and Google Mobile Ads where applicable.
10. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services, including AI processing providers, hosting providers, analytics or monitoring tools, and advertising providers.
Those services may have their own terms, policies, and processing practices. We are not responsible for third-party services except as required by applicable law.
11. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, attack, overload, scrape, or interfere with the App or backend.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, billing rules, ad reward verification, moderation, or security controls.
- Use the App for illegal, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
- Submit content that infringes rights or violates law.
- Use outputs as professional medical, nutritional, dietetic, allergy, food-safety, or emergency advice.
12. Changes and Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for health, diet, food, property, data, profit, goodwill, or opportunity losses arising from use of the App.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create risk for the service or others, or where required by law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your country of residence.
